It clogs our waterways and contaminates our oceans. That’s why this World Environment Day (5 June) and World Ocean Day (8 June), we’re supporting the global call to #BeatPlasticPollution — by reducing waste, reusing resources, and taking smarter steps to protect our planet.
The Circular Print Movement
We’re proud to be the UK’s pioneering Circular-First Managed Print Services business — and it shows in everything we do.
Through our award-winning Agilico Zero initiative, we refurbish low-utilisation print devices that are ready to perform again at the highest level. Our expert engineers complete dozens of quality control checks and procedures, transforming used parts and devices back to ‘as new’ working order. In fact, once the process is complete, it’s almost impossible to tell the difference between new and reused.
When plastic parts can’t be reused, we work with dedicated recycling partners to turn waste into useful new materials, keeping plastic out of landfill and in circulation for longer.
And because devices need protecting in transit, we’ve replaced traditional shrink wrap with a smarter solution: a high-strength, oxo-biodegradable film that breaks down in 2–3 years into food for microorganisms. That’s a big improvement on conventional wrap, which can take 40–50 years to decompose.
Making Waves with Jessie the Jellyfish
Following on from World Environment Day, we’ll be celebrating World Oceans Day on Saturday 8 June. This year’s theme is Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us.
When a primary school purchases one of our Agilico Zero devices, they receive a special gift – a copy of ‘Jessie the Jellyfish’!
Jessie the Jellyfish is a sustainable children’s book that follows the story of a lonely jellyfish. It’s an engaging and true story about how our wonderful oceans are changing and how they’re affected by the increasing problem that is plastic pollution.
We hope that pupils will enjoy reading the book and learning about life below water, sparking conversations about plastic pollution and raising awareness about protecting our oceans.
To support teachers even further, they can download a comprehensive lesson plan featuring over 10 hours of engaging teaching material, all fully aligned with National Curriculum guidelines, along with printable worksheets and activities – a perfect way to inspire eco-conscious thinking in young minds.

We’ve also launched the Agilico Zero Carbon Avoidance Calculator — a free tool to help businesses measure, visualise and reduce their print-related carbon emissions.
