At the University of St Andrews our experience with Agilico and Agilico Zero devices has really progressed our sustainability goals. The devices themselves have also massively improved our user experience of the print system. The IT service desk staff are acutely aware of how important it is to have a robust managed print system. A circular IT and reuse has been critical to what we do so anything that can extend the life of technology is something we're on board with. So it made sense for us to choose a supplier who has similar ambitions to us. Agilico provided a convincing case for us to move to a blended fleet and I think that move really helped the university push our sustainability goals. The environmental benefits of using Agilico devices which mean they're refurbished devices is huge. It reduces carbon emissions by up to ninety seven point five percent So that's usually impressive and something we were really keen to get on board with. During our print roll out, they were professional and they helped us really ensure a smooth roll out. We have over a hundred and seventy buildings. Some of them are quite historic buildings with difficult access arrangements. Those kind of access issues were no problem for them. They just made the whole thing so easy for us. My role is the first point of contact for IT support issues which can include the printers. They're really easy to use. The on-site training from Raymond, he answered all of our users questions about the features and functionality of the printers, including some more advanced features like the automatic stapling. Before the machines got rolled out we had a small test bed and we invited users to come and have a look to see what they thought. Functionality wise, we do all the things we want them to do. I was aware that training had been offered for the devices, however having used the device I've had no issue at all using it without the training which just goes to show how easy they are. We have devices located across the university, uptime has to be excellent and a support service wrap around that is crucial. We have a lifetime guarantee on the Agilico Zero devices so it is a win win scenario for us. So we haven't told the users that these are refurbished devices and they would never know. They look brand new, they perform to a high standard, no one would know and when we do tell people they are just amazed. They're clean, they're in excellent condition and they perform really well. Never had any issues with failures hardware wise apart from run of the mill, changing toners and the odd fuser unit need change. Agilico and the Agilico Zero devices have transformed our fleet, printing, scanning, copying and all the users are extremely happy with it. I would encourage any university to consider moving to a blended fleet. They don't have the same carbon emissions as producing a new device does. Agilico have exceeded our expectations throughout. The speed of response is really you know, stunningly fast. It just adds up to a level of professionalism that just makes them an outstanding supplier in my opinion. I know a lot of other universities insist on AS NEW and I would welcome them to come and talk to us about the devices that we have, the AgilePo Zero. The service is amazing, the performance of the devices is top class so I would recommend that they can really consider this much more sustainable way of printing at their university.
